I am writing to commend the organization doing business as Move ‘N Designs. I hired this organization to assist me in making my move from a large home in Worthington, OH to a much smaller patio home with wheelchair accessibility in Columbus. The move was complicated by my having to be hospitalized several times last spring and summer. I had changed the move date at least twice and then finally decided that with Move “N Designs help, I would be able to orchestrate most of the move from my hospital bed.
I learned of Move ‘N Designs through a post card they sent me presumably when they saw my house appear in the multiple listing service of the Columbus Board of Realtors. I called to find out just what their services were and found that they included packing (in my case I mostly needed packing services for the kitchen and dining room contents), the organizing of the new kitchen and the unpacking of all the contents for the new house (including hanging pictures on the walls) in 48 hours. This seemed to be just what I needed so I asked for references. The references they provided were full of praise and the comment, “Went beyond all expectations.” One of the references referred me to a person who had used the Move “N Design services but
had not been given to me as a reference. This former client was as laudatory as the other three. Based on my personal conversations with one of the leaders of the organization and such strong recommendations, I contracted to have them assist me with my move.
I had never organized a kitchen before. My late wife always took on that chore in earlier moves. Move ‘N Designs measured and photographed the cabinets in my new kitchen, figured out what would fit into each cabinet and drawer, did a final clean up of the whole new kitchen and placed everything in a very logical place. They put post-it-notes on the doors so that I new what was inside without having to open them to look inside.
In my case, they didn’t do the 48 hours in a single burst since I was still in the hospital and couldn’t react to details about the placement of pictures and decorative objects so they waited until I’d been home for about a week and then came out to finish the job.
I was pleasantly surprised by the way they organized my closet. Not only were like items grouped together, but they were also sequenced by color making it very easy to find good color combinations to wear. They used a lot of thoughtfulness in they way they figured out where something strange to them might be properly placed.
Move ‘N Designs is a truly classy business. I feel that I was truly fortunate to be able to work with its workers during my move. I hope I don’t have to move again, but I would surely hire them for any other move I might have to make. I would recommend them most highly to you as well. John C. Belland

We used Diane's service called "Move 'n Designs". It is an unpacking, organizing and decorating service wrapped up into one. We were moving into a fairly large home, and neither my wife nor I have the time, inclination or skill to unpack and set up the house. Diane and her seven coworkers descended upon us the day after the move. They took the priorities of the kitchen, our son's and daughter's rooms as top priority and tackled them during their first day. Also the guest bedroom, dining room and two baths. On the second day, they undertook the master bedroom, shared office(kids and wife), master bedroom, living room, screened porch, entry, other baths and second floor hall. They also hung all of our art and photos. All drawers and cabinets were neatly labeled with post-it notes. Having Diane's crew empty the boxes and organize the home was a huge help. She has a great sense of style and the furniture, rugs, lamps and artwork was all laid out with a flair and sense of who we are.
Diane did an early walk through of our old house to understand how we live and what we have. She then did a second walk through of the new house to she could plan out her thoughts for the new home. The active process took two full days of work. At the end of the time we had an organized, decorated home. The ladies were fun to be around and approached their work with a joy and energy that made the whole process pleasant and very much worth the investment. Keep up the great work!
